“The ultimate luxury is being able to relax and enjoy your home”

Ekaette Udosenata-Harruna

I feel blessed to be living the life I have every day, and I don’t take it for granted. Growing up in Nigeria, things could be challenging, even amid the beauty. When I came to the United States as a sophomore in high school, I had excellent opportunities to learn and absorb all the information I could hold.

From the small Christian high school I attended here in Eugene to my political science and legal studies at Western Oregon University, I just loved learning. And now, I am wrapping up my master’s in public safety administration. I believe there is no reason to stop learning with so many opportunities around us.

Homes by Ekaette Real Estate

I think this experience is why I am so passionate about providing empowering education to my clients. The confidence I gained through learning is precisely what I hope my clients will feel, too. Knowledge and information give hope and dispel negativity. This is what I love to do.

When clients feel overwhelmed in the house buying or selling process, it almost always comes down to needing more accurate information. By focusing on the facts that matter to their situation, they gain the understanding needed to clear away tension and confusion. It’s an honor to serve in this way.

Building a Legacy

My passion for empowering through education led me to start a nonprofit, Ima By Design International. Ima means “love” in my native language, Ibibio. The foundation works to empower women around the globe through education and business training.

Currently serving in Ghana, Ima By Design aims to break the cycle of poverty for women and their families. A portion of all revenue from Homes by Ekaette goes to support this foundation.

I also work to build a legacy of compassion and education for my own children. I cherish the time I have with them while also enjoying quiet time to myself with a good book. Our family enjoys hiking and camping and anything outdoors in the stunning Pacific Northwest.
